This week I had the privilege of inducting a new member, Carrie Madigan is our eleventh new member this Rotary year. She works for snack manufacturer Bazzini LLC and is active with various local organizations. Welcome aboard!
The speaker this week was our own George Mowrer with his reclassification talk. With 35 years in the insurance industry, George is transitioning to Retirement Coaching. With the possibility we can have 20-30 years in retirement, he explores Retirement vs. The Next Chapter with emphasis on the non-financial aspects. George listed the 5 areas of retirement he can help one examine:
Spiritual..Help find purpose and meaning.
Mental....Identify who you are and what you want to become.
Social.....Relationships: Quality vs. Quantity
Health.....Both physical and mental
Financial.Partnering with a Planner, budgeting and Legacy.
Whether we are retired, soon to be, or transitioning to a new path, George points out we need to be proactive with all aspects of our life, just not the financial side. We wish George the best in this exciting new life path.
President Thea returns this week with Diane Donaher as our program presenter, speaking about the Rotary International Foundation.
