Hello Rotarians!
This week we had BAVTS culinary program students Liz and Daris speak to our club. They are also both juniors at Saucon Valley High School. They both shared their love of the culinary arts and how they have learned so many new skills and techniques. They also both work at the BAVTS Food Truck where 100% of the proceeds go back to the students for scholarships. As a reminder Food Truck Tuesday’s are from 4-7 on Tuesday evenings and there are only 3 more weeks to attend and support the students.

Our featured speaker this week was Brianna Gardell, CEO of Goblies. Brianna is a NJ native, Lehigh University Graduate and operating her company out of the business incubator in Bethlehem. She spoke about her entrepreneurial journey coming up with the idea for Goblies, a throwable paintball, to making them in her kitchen, to manufacturing them for large box retailers such as Target and Walgreens with her first 20 units being sold to The DaVinci Center. Brianna shared that it was not always easy sailing and how she had to step back, reevaluate and start over when there was a manufacturing issue. The company is now back up and moving forward. Brianna has just hired her 3rd employee and has many ideas on the horizon.
