The Thanksgiving lunch on Wednesday, November 19 will feature Shane Burcaw, a motivational speaker that you will want to hear. There will be a special buffet luncheon for us to enjoy as we gather with fellow Rotarians before the Thanksgiving Holiday. The cost is $20 which includes $5 for Polio. We have extended an invitation to all area clubs, so plan to attend this special program and meet fellow Rotarians from around the Valley.

Bethlehem Rotary will RING THE BELL for the Salvation Army at Christkindlmarkt on December 6th this year. This is a new location for us and it’s for one hour time slot with a partner. We will ring beginning at 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. We still need to fill 11 slots. See Ron Bauer with questions.

Last week Jaclyn Welsh, Assistant Principal of Notre Dame High School and Joe Wetzel a student in the Aquinas Program gave an informative presentation on the positive benefits to the students enrolled in the program and how it works within a Catholic high school environment. The program provides educational assistance to students with learning disabilities in a regular high school setting.
Although reggae legend Ziggy Marley couldn’t attend Rotary’s World Polio Day event in Chicago on 24 October, he recorded a special message for attendees. Marley also performed a song from his latest album, “Fly Rasta,” which he said he hoped would “inspire people” to continue the effort to end polio, “which we will do soon.”
