We offered a warm welcome to two high school guests from BAVTS. Guiselle Dominguez is a Junior at Liberty High School. Stephen Troxell is a Junior at Northampton High School. Both are pursuing culinary arts.
The keynote presentation was made by a delightful team of three representatives from the City of Bethlehem. Jordan Westerman led off the PowerPoint as the Health Bureau’s Community Connections Police Social Worker. Her liaison officer is Captain Hackett. Brian Sabo completed the team as Program Director for Hope Center. Community Connections has only been in place for two years and has an expanding list of proven success stories. The goal is to foster healthy relationships with the community they serve by assisting police with overall referrals in social service areas of need.
