On Wednesday Ham Malek presented District 7430’s “Million Dollar Journey”. We thank Ham for a very entertaining review of the work The Rotary Foundation does around the globe. It is amazing to see the impact Rotary has made to better the lives of people throughout the world. Please spread the word, “Rotary Changes Lives”. And special thanks to Bob Cohen as our judge and Ham for the prizes for the traditional April Fools Day Hat contest.
100th ANNIVERSARY: Bethlehem Rotary is turning One-Hundred years old next year and there are plans for a celebration. A committee is formed and a date is set. More details to follow.

BETHLEHEM ROTARY needs representation at the District Training Assembly coming in May. This is a one day program for those wanting to become more engaged in Rotary and for current and future leaders. It’s on Saturday, May 16 from 7:30 to 3:30 p.m. at MONTCO in Blue Bell. The Club will cover the registration fee for all those who wish to attend. President-Elect Mike will be there and I am sure he would enjoy some company. Details to follow.
CLUB SERVICE GOAL OF 100%: Please give some thought to areas of club service that are of interest to you. Every member should serve on at least one committee. Newer members will be asked to serve on the Service Teams such as Greeter, Introduction of Visitors and Guests and 50-50 as a start but should join another committee to get the most out of learning more about Rotary. IRON PIGS ON APRIL 28th: Dugout suite tickets are still available for no charge. Join in the fun as the Membership Committee hosts a night out at the ball game. Bring a prospective new member to the Iron Pigs game on April 28th. We will provide the tickets. There will be food and beverages too. DISTRICT CONFERENCE: Last call for sign-ups. DG Gary Fedorcha invites you to Gettysburg for the District 7430 Conference April 24-26, 2015. Details are on the District website directly or through our Club’s Website. The Club will cover the registration fee which includes all meals and events. So far there are several members signed up to attend. The more the merrier.
19TH ANNUAL ROTARY GOLF OUTING: Mark your calendars for June 1 at Silver Creek Country Club for the 19th Annual Rotary golf outing. New this year is our partnership with the Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School (BAVTS) Bridges Foundation. The foundation provides deserving students of BAVTS the ability and financial support to fulfill career aspirations. Details to follow.

This week is Family of Rotary with a classification talk by Paul Ricciardi. Paul is already very active having worked on the Tastes & Tunes committee and most recently leading the Boutique at the Rink project. Paul will join the Board in July.

Rotary member and sea adventurer Seung Jin Kim is almost halfway through his eight-month voyage around the world to raise awareness and money for Rotary's polio eradication campaign. Kim hopes to raise $200,000 through the journey, a lifelong dream of his. And the bright End Polio Now logo emblazoned on the sail is designed to spread the word about Rotary’s top cause.
