Many thanks to Rotarian Angelo Valletta and his talented team at Ben Franklin TechVentures for providing a wonderful meeting venue last Wednesday where we heard a very informative presentation by the leadership team of Thread Bioscience a client of the Ben Franklin Program. Thread BioScience is developing a number of technologies in support of care teams (and patients!) dealing with urinary tract infections, to include a point-of-care rapid test, a device for comparing IV inflows and urinary outflows to ensure that a patient's system is operating in balance, and a device that monitors the color of urinary catheter outflows to warn the care team of any changes in color that might be a concern.
