What is old is new again! In keep with a beloved tradition of celebrating our lunch meeting at MusikFest, we are returning to SteelStacks this Wednesday. The board meets at 10:30am and the regular club meeting begins at noon. The location is the backstage tent behind the Visitors’ Center near 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem PA 18015. Special thanks to Jack Worsley for coordinating this upcoming event. The keynote speaker is Selena Lavonier, Executive Director of the ArtsQuest Foundation. The buffet lunch is $16 per person. Because this meeting is outdoors, there will be no Zoom available.
LAST WEEK:
Rotarian Darlene Heller introduced her colleague, Matt Dorner, from the Department of Public Works. Matt offered an excellent presentation on the Climate Action Plan for the City of Bethlehem. He certainly got our attention as he pointed out that the number of days over 90℉ is increasing from an average of 12 per year to an average of 36-39 per year. Following the formal presentation club members engaged in a meaningful discussion with insightful questions. Thank you, Matt, for your service to the City and your gift of time to Rotary.

On Thursday evening, Jill and Gerry Long led our annual service project benefiting the youth of our community. Seven members of our club hosted the Boys & Girls Club as a victorious Iron Pigs game. Our Club President threw out a first pitch. Rotarian Winston Alozie, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Bethlehem, expressed profound thanks for our tangible support of our youth.
