Monday, March 13, 2023:

LAST WEEK:
  • Danny and Alexander from BAVTS talked about their journey and why they chose BAVTS. Both young men are studying graphic communications.
  • Our speaker was Associate Dean for Community Education for Northampton Community College, Audree Chase, accompanied by two of her colleagues. They spoke to us about the various classes, both for certifications and for credits, as well as workshops and camp programs for youth in the summer. Hopefully we will have a field trip soon to the Fab Lab, which sounds amazing! It is open to individuals aged 14+.
  • Special thanks to President-Elect Lori Knerr for guiding us through the meeting.

THIS WEEK:
  • The Board of the Rotary Club of Bethlehem meets on March 15 at 10:30 AM.
  • Club Meeting in NCC's Fowler Family Southside Center, Room 523 as usual
    • Welcome home, Kamran Afshar! We have missed your annual LV Economic Outlook. We are looking forward to your presentation on: “Economic Outlook, past, present and an AI assisted guess of the most probable future!

FOLLOWING WEEK - MARCH 22 – WE MEET ONSITE AT BAVTS AND NEED A HEAD COUNT (to Jill Long) BY WEDNESDAY MARCH 15TH

  • A frequent highlight of our meetings are the messages BAVTS artisans share with us about how BAVTS has changed their lives.
  • On Wednesday March 22, 2023 we will hold our regular meeting at BAVTS and experience in-person the excellence of the culinary arts students.
  • The meal will cost $15. and will be a hot chicken dish, soup, salad and desert.  Our luncheon treasurer (THANKS JILL) will be on hand to collect $15 (exact amount please).
  • PARKING:  There are a few handicap spaces by the building, but most members will need to park in Freedom's top lot.
  • ENTRY: Please enter through the front door of the main building  (not the smaller building). YOU WILL NEED A PHOTO I.D. TO GET INTO THE BUILDING

Yours in Rotary service,

President Hopeton Clennon
