This past week Carol Ferguson shared very insightful and information packed presentation about Rotary’s Polio Eradication Program and the positive impact that low-cost live virus oral vaccination is having. But while live virus vaccines can protect millions of children worldwide, they also open the door to vaccine-derived forms of the disease that can spread quickly via air travel pathways. Carol planned to end her talk with a video to emphasize the importance of continued polio vaccination in the United States, but the video would not play on the Moravian Village equipment. It is available on the website and also in today's bulletin. Click HERE to watch.
