Fellow Rotarians,

 

I would like to thank Darlene Heller for pitch hitting last week and giving a last minute presentation after our scheduled speaker was ill.

 

This week is our annual MusikFest meeting. I happened to see ArtsQuest CEO Kassie Hilgert at MusikFest on Friday evening and they are so excited to host us. In addition, we have the Iron Pigs game Thursday evening with the Boys & Girls Club. Another fun and rewarding time.  

 

District Governor Katie Farrell will be attending our August 14 meeting. DG Katie will be sharing her vision for the year, both on the district and international level. Please make every attempt to attend.

 

Friday August 23 is our next Service Project. We are supporting the CADB and their backpack program. We have about 6 volunteers so far and would welcome a few more. Rotarians will be handing out backpacks to local children. This event will run from 3-6 on the Greenway at Webster Street. There are no set shifts, but if you could, please let me know if you plan to stay the entire time or just a few hours. If you are interested in helping out, please let me know.
