This week our guest speakers were Michele Zenie and Tracy Stauffer from the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, both of whom are parents of children who have suffered from cancer. The Foundation helps kids suffering from cancer and their families in the Lehigh Valley. September is pediatric cancer awareness month. Unlike hospital foundations, the PCFLV does not fund research, but rather gives support directly to families through programming, gift cards and help paying bills. They hold three fundraisers throughout the year including the Hears of Gold Gala coming up on November 9.
Michele & Tracy show the book our Club will donate to the BAPL in their honor.
At our meeting, we also honored Rotarian Jim Geiger with a Paul Harris Fellowship. Rotary International recognizes a Rotarian who has given $1000 toward the work of the Rotary International Foundation. Our Club encourages every member to give something to the foundation every year. Congratulations Jim!

The speaker for our Wednesday October 2, 2019 meeting is the Rev. Mike Dowd from the Easton Club who will talk about Saving the Steeple at the First United Church of Christ.
