THIS WEEK -- Our own Darlene Heller takes us on a virtual walk of the Greenway through Zoom. We will learn about the development of the South Bethlehem Greenway project from its inception. The Greenway was a significant investment by the City, and it could only occur with many partners. She'll review some of the initial planning that went into the Greenway, partners that helped make it happen, and the individual developments along the corridor that make it unique and interesting.
Mark and I enjoyed a date night listening to the first half of the book The Line Becomes a River about immigration at our southern border. On Audible, the reader is the author himself - - a former border patrol agent. His description of his experience inspired me to research the border patrol as I didn't realize that The Border Patrol Academy has one of the most challenging curriculums in federal law enforcement, requiring 117 days of training. His depictions of actual events will stay with me long after our book discussions in February.

LAST WEEK -- Anne Baum, who was just seven days into her new role as President of Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital, told us a bit about the 118-bed facility and shared her insights into working with and leading others. As a veteran leader and an author on two professional development books, she challenged us to think about not just what we say but how we present ourselves and our message.
