THIS WEEK -- We close, and open, another Rotary year with our changeover meeting in person and via Zoom. We meet in KingSpry 6th floor conference room at 1 W. Broad at noon on Wednesday or via ZOOM. Please make every effort to attend to welcome Hopeton Clennon as our new president and to vote on the board slate for the upcoming year.
LAST WEEK -- We heard from our dear former Rotarian Bob Smith about Valley Forge Military College and the personal achievements of his family, particularly his son, Sam, who was in a serious car accident while Bob was a member of our club. Sam is now a teenager, and, this fall, he will attend school without an aide for the first time. Bob thanked our club for the many meals, gift cards, and prayers we provided for his family.
SAVE THE DATE -- Sunday, October 2, Tastes & Tunes 2022 to benefit Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering. Contact me at debra.walter@desales.edu if you are interested in serving on the committee or helping in some way.
THIS PAST ROTARY YEAR -- I thank everyone who donated their time, talent and treasure to the club in any way this past year. It amazed me to see how many people do so much for our club and our community. In the next service year, I hope we all enjoy good health, great fellowship, and dynamic service to our community. I have great confidence in our new president and look forward to his leadership and a rewarding Rotary experience.
Thank you - President Deb Walter
