This week we welcome you to our final regularly scheduled weekly midday meeting of 2022. Please join us for a celebration of the 10th Annual Tastes & Tunes. Past President Deb Walter will provide a report on the success of this year’s venture. We will also get a chance to thank the host of volunteers, honor our sponsors, and acknowledge the excellent work of Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering (and our own Bethlehem Rotary Foundation)! This promises to be a wonderful opportunity for celebration! Please be sure to let Jill Long (jillwilsonlong@gmail.com) know that you plan to participate in the buffet luncheon being offered on this very special day.
LAST WEEK:
We were delighted to welcome two high school speakers from Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School. Sienna Powell and Jayden Torres are eleventh graders at Freedom and Saucon Valley respectively. Both are interested in sports medicine and personal training.

Our keynote speaker was Mayor J. William Reynolds, mayor of the City of Bethlehem. He provided a helpful review of recent activities of municipal government and a meaningful forecast of vital decision that need to be made across the Lehigh Valley into the future. The center piece of his presentation is the program “We Build Bethlehem” and the projected use of American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) funds in the 2023 budget for the City. The mayor was gracious in extending his time and staying after the meeting to answer questions posed by Rotarians
