Next week Wednesday, November 30, we meet at 6pm at Prime Steak House, 325 Stoke Park Road, Bethlehem.
LAST WEEK:
We had a most engaging and entertaining presentation by the BAVTS Artisan for November, Azariah Drungo. Her personal story was heart-wrenching and her growth and resolve were heart-warming. Our deepest thanks to Rotarian Dale Kochard who is a member of the Vocational Awareness Committee and Rotarian Dana Huber who is the administrator for the program at Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School for their excellent coordination.

Our keynote speaker for our lunch meeting was Past President and Past District Governor Cindy Hornaman who is currently the District Foundation Chair. She gave an excellent presentation in celebration of Rotary International Foundation Month. Special inspiration came from her steady reminder that we have room to grow. Heartiest congratulations to Anne Millham for recently completing the requirements for certification as a grant writer.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMNTS:
There are two vacancies on the board. We invite members of the Rotary Club of Bethlehem to nominate themselves or each other for the positions of Vice President and Secretary.
President Elect Bill Royer found it necessary to resign his position due to ongoing medical concerns. He is anticipating a complete recovery over time. The Board accepted his resignation with deep regret. The Board continues to benefit from his wisdom.
Vice President Lori Knerr graciously accepted the invitation of the Board to move into the position of President Elect. She will begin her year as President of our club on July 1, 2023. Please join me in expressing our appreciation for her commitment to our Club
Secretary Robin Burk found it necessary to resign her position with immediate effect due to unexpected developments in her family. The Board accepted her resignation with deep regret. Filling this position brings with it a certain level of urgency. The good news is that we have skilled and experienced personnel ready to provide assistance and training.
Al Philpotts begins a “sabbatical” from his Rotary assignments no later than December 1, 2022. We offer our deepest appreciation to Al for his phenomenal work with all things technology over the past several years. Al embodies the personification of Rotary’s motto, “service above self.” Where do we go from here? For starters, we welcome a volunteer to take on the task of publishing this eBulletin each week and operating the Club’s website.
Names of nominees should be submitted to Ham Malek or me for immediate consideration and action by the Board.
