Wednesday’s speaker, Charlene Donchez-Mowers, President of Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, formerly Historic Bethlehem Partnership, presented a wonderful glimpse into the past as we viewed the magnificent buildings that comprise the Colonial Industrial Quarter and beyond. There is a lot happening and much to enjoy with a visit to our own gem, Historic Bethlehem.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS: Rotary Youth Exchange is an area of focus this year. There is a lot of new information for host clubs, those with an interest in becoming a Youth Exchange Officer, certifications, background checks, host families, the ESSEX volunteer portal and the websites that streamline the process. If you are interested in any area of Youth Exchange, please contact Pete Mickolay or myself as we need to expand the committee. Information is also on our website ClubRunner.

Eradicating polio from India took impressive coordination and commitment. Rotary members in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, drew on those qualities again in December, when they mobilized more than 40,000 people to create the world’s largest human national flag as a tribute to the polio eradication effort.
