Join us tonight at Bethlehem Brew Works for the Monthly Rotary Mixer!

Last week we inducted our newest Rotarian, Lauren Quintell, as she presented her classification talk. Lauren spoke passionately about her work in environmental health and safety. Lauren and her husband are board game enthusiasts with a collection of over 500 games!

PDG Diane and Lauren attended a Bee Box building event with the Emmaus Rotary Club. Their boxes will be placed in Centennial Park and we hope to have a Fun and Fellowship event of our own to build additional houses for the park.

I am looking forward to an exciting year ahead. We have been working behind the scenes building our membership and also looking for additional ways to engage all members and attract new people.  Please continue to share any ideas for service projects or fellowship events.

Yours in Rotary service,

President Lori Knerr

This year we added 6 new community and business leaders to our club. We raised well over $20,000 to benefit The Bridges Foundation -Bavts and provided grants to numerous area nonprofits. We tapped into the expertise of our members and provided education and other service to the residents of Stephen's Place. We  provided backpacks for the students in the Bethlehem school district in partnership with Community Action Development Bethlehem. We cleaned up Centennial Park in Bethlehem and applied for grant money to install a pollinator garden. We served dinner to the community members at the Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering.  We co-sponsored an exchange student from Poland and we sponsored a student from Bethlehem Catholic to attend The World Affairs Seminar.  In addition, we awarded a $3,000 Schrempel Music Scholarship.  I’m sure there is more that I’m forgetting, but most importantly we made a difference!

The Board presented her this award for outstanding and dedicated service to our club.  AND rightfully so, as she will continue to be our President for the 3rd consecutive year.  Congratulations Lori!
