This year we added 6 new community and business leaders to our club. We raised well over $20,000 to benefit The Bridges Foundation -Bavts and provided grants to numerous area nonprofits. We tapped into the expertise of our members and provided education and other service to the residents of Stephen's Place. We provided backpacks for the students in the Bethlehem school district in partnership with Community Action Development Bethlehem. We cleaned up Centennial Park in Bethlehem and applied for grant money to install a pollinator garden. We served dinner to the community members at the Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering. We co-sponsored an exchange student from Poland and we sponsored a student from Bethlehem Catholic to attend The World Affairs Seminar. In addition, we awarded a $3,000 Schrempel Music Scholarship. I’m sure there is more that I’m forgetting, but most importantly we made a difference! The Board presented her this award for outstanding and dedicated service to our club. AND rightfully so, as she will continue to be our President for the 3rd consecutive year. Congratulations Lori! |
