Friends. It is strange times we are living in. I hope each of you are safe in your homes. While we may not be together this week, I wanted to still keep connected. This is a time for us to apply our Rotary principles to our lives. We are still people of action--that just may look a little different. Action in the form of walking the walk. The best thing we can do to curb the spread of this virus is stay home! Call a friend, family member or neighbor and chat with them. We've been doing digital happy hours with friends and it's been fun. If you're part of the vulnerable population and need anything, learn on your fellow Rotarians to help. I'd be happy to deliver to doorsteps anything someone may need. Our district has set up a group of "CAREmongers". Check it out if you're looking for ways to stay connected.

There are also some fun things out there on social media. Cancer Support Community has set up a fun digital scavenger hunt that also benefits the organization. https://facebook.com/events/s/at-home-scavenger-hunt-for-the/2750815464966957/?ti=cl

Lastly - CSS Group Fitness - a firm in the Lehigh Valley that provides spin classes, training, fitness classes and is now impacted by Gov Wolf's order of Thursday March 19th, sent Al Philpotts this great guidance for those of us sheltering in place.
  1. Stay Hydrated
  2. Eat dark, leafy greens
  3. Practice good hygiene
  4. Get Outside
  5. Ditch the alcohol (Ok, maybe just ease up on it a bit!)
  6. Take a probiotic
  7. Get plenty of rest
  8. EXCERISE!
  9. Don’t let cortisol win. Stop stressing out!
  10. Practice mindfulness: FOCUS ON WHAT IS, NOT WHAT IF
We'll get through this together but in the mean time, stay safe!

Yours in Rotary service,

President Thea Lind
