Wednesday we received the annual report to the membership from representatives of the Bethlehem Rotary Foundation, which is the charitable arm of Bethlehem Rotary. Bruce Palmer, Cindy Glick and Gerry Long presented the financial status of the foundation, the grants awarded and the Board composition for next year. Pat Connell was named Chair and George Kurtz, Treasurer. Congratulations. We also thank outgoing members, Gerry Long and Bruce Palmer, for their many years of service.

Students from Israel and Palestine sat together at a local art studio in Encinitas, California, USA, one day last summer, drawing portraits of one another and learning how to live in peace. Every year, Hands of Peace brings students to Chicago, Illinois, and San Diego, California, USA, to join local youths from various religious backgrounds for 18 days of dialogue and team-building exercises. Rotary members host the students, organize activities like the art workshop, and lend financial support.
