At our meeting on Wednesday May 15th BAVTS gave us double/double billing, we had a pair of amazing students speaking about their experience in the shadow program followed by a pair of students speaking as Artisans of the month. Their contributions remind us of the incredible value that BAVTS provides not just to participating students, but to our community as a whole. Thanks again to Dana Huber for her role in this program. And thanks to Bill Eckert who stood in for me at the podium.
This amazing quartet of speakers was followed by Bill Fuszynski who gave us three stories that showed how about Shelter Box has grown from being purely a Rotary initiative and how it has changed lives across the world when circumstances leave groups of people without shelter. Our club has been a long and strong supporter of Shelter Box and our District is one of the strongest on the country.
This weeks' meeting on Wednesday the 22nd will feature our very own Kamran Afshar, speaking about the local and national economy. You won't want to miss this.
