President Thea has notified us all that our meetings are suspended through the end of March as we individually and corporately honor the CDC's "Social Distancing" guidelines. Thanks to the gracious response of Hotel Bethlehem's leadership, we were able to meet there Wednesday March 11th.
We were pleased to introduce Marc Rivera and Dustin Lopez, two Shadow Students from BAVTS who are are enrolled in the Protective Services Program.

Next, we welcomed Lisa Finkelstein from the Minsi Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America as our Twelfth new member this year. Lisa was a 10-year member of Hazelton Rotary Club and served on their Board and as President. She looks forward to becoming an active member of our Club.

The other "News" was our speaker for the day, WFMZ-TV news anchor Rob Vaughn. In a departure from his Year in Review, Rob talked about Fake News and his thoughts on deciphering what is true and what is fake. In an era of news streaming continuously from various media, it was an interesting and amusing to hear his ideas.

In the spirit of "service above self" let's use this time of social distancing to close the distance with friends and family by phone calls to friends and family and to fellow Rotarians whom we can get to know better. In the meanwhile, we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed of any updates.
