Carol Hart Metzker Speaks on Human Trafficking
Carol Metzker Speaks to Bethlehem Rotarians

Carol Hart Metzker was the featured speaker at the regular noon meeting of the Rotary Club of Bethlehem on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.  She is an educator, author of Facing the Monster: How One Person Can Fight Child Slavery, TEDx speaker, and consultant to The Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia's New Day to Stop Trafficking Program. An encounter in 2004 with an 11-year-old girl rescued from sex trafficking led her on a quest to help end human trafficking and to aid victims and survivors overseas and close to home in southeastern Pennsylvania. Carol is the recipient of a Rotary International Service Above Self Award.

Below:  Club President Gerald Foran presents Ms Metzker a gift card with more than $300 raised by club members to be used for the benefit of a local recovered victim of sex trafficking.  He also presents a book the club will donate to the Bethlehem Public Library's Children's Library in her honor.
