Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter talks candidly about peace, free elections, and lessons learned from a life devoted to peace in a special interview with The Rotarian. For the past 37 years, Carter has been redefining what it means to be a retired president. A commitment to human rights was a cornerstone of his foreign policy, and he and his wife, Rosalynn, have continued that emphasis with the Carter Center, founded in 1982.
