Lauren Coffren is an Executive Director of the Exploited Children Division at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in Alexandria, Virginia, and has been with NCMEC since 2006, where she worked as an analyst in the Child Victim Identification Program (CVIP). Ms. Coffren oversees the Exploited Children Division which operates several programs including of the CyberTipline and CVIP. In addition, Ms. Coffren started the CSAM Survivor Services Program working to improve the response to survivors of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Through survivor engagement, this program gives a voice to those victimized to develop and enhance post-identification resources. The work of this program provides guidance for survivors, caregivers, and a wide range of helping professionals. In her role, Lauren has co-authored several resources on CSAM including Be the Solution - Helping Victims of CSAM: A Guide for Law Enfocement as well as a white paper entitled Captured on Film: Survivors of CSAM Are Stuck in a Unique Cyle of Trauma.
