Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital

Anne Baum, MS, is the first President of Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. She oversees strategic planning and operation of Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, which is the community’s only children’s hospital and the third largest children’s hospital in Pennsylvania. A well-known and respected business leader in the Lehigh Valley for more than 20 years, Ms. Baum came to Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital from Capital Blue Cross, where she was Lehigh Valley Market President and Vice President, Producer and Labor Relations. Ms. Baum’s experience prior to Capital Blue Cross includes Director of Managed Care Services for Premier Inc., Executive Director of Eastern Pennsylvania Health Network, and Vice President of Managed Care at St. Luke’s University Health Network. She is the founder and President of Vision Accomplished, LLC, which provides leadership and professional training programs. Ms. Baum earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in health systems management from Rush University, Chicago. She is a member of numerous community boards and the recipient of several awards including PA Best Women in Business and the ATHENA Award. She is the author of the books Small Mistakes, Big Consequences – Develop Your Soft Skills to Help You Succeed, which helps people identify common behavior mistakes that can make or break relationships, and Small Mistakes, Big Consequences for Interviews. |

South Bethlehem Greenway project

Darlene Heller received her degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Penn State University. She has been Bethlehem’s Director of Planning and Zoning since 2000. In that time, the city adopted many planning studies including a Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance, the South Side Vision Plan, a Trail Feasibility Study, the Greenway Master Plan, the Historic Preservation Plan, The City Downtown Walkability Study and the Northside 2027 Neighborhood Plan.
During the last 20 years, Bethlehem has seen substantial transition of the prior Bethlehem Steel site, which has been recognized nationally and internationally for both design and engineering. The City continues to incorporate livability, walkability, sustainability and quality of life into all off its ongoing initiatives. She has been a member of the Bethlehem Rotary Club since 2006. |

Click each item to download the file. Bring a completed copy with you to the shelter on the 23rd.

The students of Allentown College's Class of 1969 were in that position, and their story is remarkable and entertaining. This Wednesday we will hear from Deacon George Kelly of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Don Wright, retired from Cognizant, who will share their experiences and those of their classmates.

Immigration at the Border

Attorney Marte has experience in family immigration matters as well as sports law immigration. She earned her Juris Doctor from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law with an intellectual property law specialization. While at Villanova Law, she served as Secretary for the Villanova Law Sports Law Association. Attorney Marte gained invaluable experience prior to and during her time at Villanova Law, interning for Samsung Telecommunications America and Western Digital Communications where she focused on business law and intellectual property. She also gained litigation experience while an intern at Yost & Tretta, LLC. Following Law School, Attorney Marte served as a clerk for Rainmaker Sports & Entertainment Group, serving athletes’ and sports and entertainment geared corporations’ needs. Attorney Marte volunteers with the Gift of Life organization and spends time volunteering with underprivileged communities in the Dominican Republic. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, The Northampton County Bar Association, The Pennsylvania Bar Association, Zeta Tau Alpha, and is a board member for the Our Baseball Life Foundation. |

Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering

A 2013 Graduate of the Crossroads Lay Leadership Program at Moravian Theological Seminary, Bob Rapp first came to Christ Church in the summer of 2016, as a pastoral intern working toward licensed ministry in the UCC Church. He accepted the call to be the Pastor for Mission of Christ Church beginning October 7, 2018. His previous life endeavors were as a business owner and a truck driver specializing in hauling heavy equipment. In recent years, his passion for homeless veterans led him to an outreach position with Hope for Veterans. Bob currently works as the Executive Director of Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering, Inc.
He and His wife Linda currently reside in Lower Saucon Township with their four four-legged children Charcoal, Shadow, Randi, and Dixie. Between them they have six adult children, twenty-one grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Bob is at home in any garage or truck and loves rides on his Harley.

Kristin started on the Development team at The Children’s Home of Easton in July 2020. She was promoted to Director of Marketing & Communications in November 2021 and currently manages all social media, mass communications, website, and marketing; along with planning fundraising events. Kristin is from Monmouth County, New Jersey, received her Bachelor’s Degree at The University of Massachusetts, and has been in marketing for over ten years. She moved to the Lehigh Valley three years ago when her husband became employed with Crayola. Kristin lives at home with her husband and two young children. |

Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, Inc.

Claire Wildermuth Sadler has been with the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor since 2014, when she started as the organization’s Conservation Coordinator. Claire previously held the roles of Director of Trails & Conservation, Deputy Director and most recently, Interim Executive Director. In these roles, she has overseen trail development, served as the internal lead for Lehigh Valley Greenways, one of Pennsylvania’s eight conservation landscapes, and went on to provide leadership for both the Trails & Conservation department and organization as a whole. Claire holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College. Prior to her work with the D&LNHC, Sadler was a Special Programs Coordinator for Delaware Highlands Conservancy, Hawley, PA and Director of Education at Fernbrook Farms Education Center, Bordentown, NJ. In her ascent to leadership, Claire led the brand development and launch of one of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor’s partnership programs, THE LINK Trail Network, and stewards the range of partners that make possible the work of the D&LNHC. Her role as Deputy Director and later Interim Executive Director, moreover, prove her deep understanding of the mission of the organization, while already providing executive leadership in hiring, onboarding, strategic planning and grant seeking. Claire resides in Bethlehem Township with her husband, Tom, and their sons, Lincoln and Carter. They enjoy finding new places for enjoying nature in the region and can often be seen enjoying the D&L Trail with their dog, Ripley. |

Naomi Gal is a writer, translator, editor and a professor. She is the author of 16 books, fiction, non-fiction and children’s books in Hebrew and English. Her latest books are Daphne’s Seasons 2007, Free to Be 2009, Soap Opera 2011. She studied at the Sorbonne and has 3 masters from Haute Ecole du Journalism, Haute Etudes International and Haute etudes Social Paris, France N. Gal translated and edited dozens of books, fiction and non-fiction, some are the autobiographies and biographies of Nathan Sharansky, Itzhak Rabin, Raymonda Hawa Tawil, and Nancy Reagan. Gal was part of the founding team of Israeli Television and a journalist with Maariv and Yedioth Aharonot from 1968-1997. Since 2003 she has been teaching a myriad of courses at Lafayette and Moravian College among them War in Literature, Israeli Translated Literature, Holocaust Literature in First Person, Creative Writing, American Jewish Literature, Judaism Then and Now, Women Behind the Camera, Happiness, The Holy Grail of Western Society. Since 2017 Gal translates Yizkor Books from Hebrew to English for JewishGen. Gal is the recipient of the Jerusalem Prize for Roman Romanti 1993, the Witzo Prize for Creative Women in 1999 and prizes for two of her screenplays in 1978 and 1990. |

LAUREN SCHUETTE COFFREN DIRECTOR, EXPLOITED CHILDREN DIVSION NATIONAL CENTER FOR MISSING & EXPLOITED CHILDREN
Lauren Coffren is an Executive Director of the Exploited Children Division at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in Alexandria, Virginia, and has been with NCMEC since 2006, where she worked as an analyst in the Child Victim Identification Program (CVIP). Ms. Coffren oversees the Exploited Children Division which operates several programs including of the CyberTipline and CVIP. In addition, Ms. Coffren started the CSAM Survivor Services Program working to improve the response to survivors of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Through survivor engagement, this program gives a voice to those victimized to develop and enhance post-identification resources. The work of this program provides guidance for survivors, caregivers, and a wide range of helping professionals. In her role, Lauren has co-authored several resources on CSAM including Be the Solution - Helping Victims of CSAM: A Guide for Law Enfocement as well as a white paper entitled Captured on Film: Survivors of CSAM Are Stuck in a Unique Cyle of Trauma.

Bob Smith has worked in higher education for over twenty years in various capacities as both an educator and administrator. He currently serves as Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Valley Forge Military College, where he is also an instructor of social sciences and military history. Bob holds a PhD in history from Lehigh University, and master degrees in education and history from Northwest Nazarene University and Villanova University. He is the author of Manufacturing Independence: Industrial Innovation in the American Revolution and numerous articles on the American Revolution and history of technology. He is currently working on a biography of Brigadier General Francis Nash, the namesake of Nashville, TN who died at the Battle of Germantown. Bob is a former Fulbright Scholar and graduate of Leadership Lehigh Valley. He is a lifelong member and volunteer in Scouts BSA, having served in many leadership and teaching positions. He is a graduate of the Woodbadge program and is an Eagle Scout. Bob lives in Hatfield, PA with wife of 22 years, Robin, and his two boys, Sam (13) and Henry (11). He is an avid cyclist. |
