We celebrated the many things we're thankful for at this week's meeting. We were joined by our friends from the Morningstar Club as well as District Governor, Herb Klotz and Assistant Governor, Janet Kolepp.  We begin the meeting with a truly beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner by BAVTS student, Destiny Deschamps.

BAVTS student Destiny Deschamps who sang and spoke.  Well done Destiny!

Our speakers were Karen Smith from the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley and Meg Dowd from Just Born. They shared with us about the many volunteer activities that take place in the Valley, and how each of us can make an impact in the community. The Volunteer Center coordinates volunteer activities for individuals, companies and nonprofits and keeps a calendar of events and opportunities. They also keep a wish list of items needed by nonprofits. They are currently collecting shoeboxes both empty and filled for the 10,000 Holiday Hope Chests they will distribute to needy kids next month. https://www.volunteerlv.org/holiday-hope-chests
