The first meeting of my term as your President was jam-packed full of information that I hope provided a quick synopsis of what’s in store for the upcoming year. As part of my remarks, I purposely wanted to introduce our board leaders and committee chairs because they are the people who will keep the cog of our Rotary wheel turning! Thank you, again, to all who have graciously volunteered to help lead our Club.
As is typical fashion for our Club, we have a broad range of programs and projects that we volunteer for and support. If we sit back and take stock of all that gets done through our volunteer efforts, we can all be extremely proud to be part of the Rotary Club of Bethlehem. I am confident this year will be no different and am anxious to see all of our plans unfold.
When preparing goals for the coming year, I took some sage advice from one of our past Presidents, George Mowrer. He said, “Keep it simple!” And so, I settled on two goals that I believe captures the essence of all we want to accomplish this year.
Strengthen our Club by growing membership and engaging all members in the life of our Club.
Make a difference in our Community and the world through service and/or financial commitment.
I am honored to be your President and look forward to working with each one of you as we, as Rotarians, Serve Humanity.
Yours in Rotary Service,
Gail

In April, Rotary members from around the world met at the Council on Legislation, taking action to grant clubs greater flexibility in their meeting schedule and membership. These changes took effect 1 July.
