It was a busy week for Bethlehem Rotary! At our meeting we welcomed four of our grant recipients to share about their programs. The Hispanic Center shared about their food pantry.

Delia Marrero of the Hispanic Center tells us how the Center will use our grant.

The Bethlehem YMCA's grant will enable more participants in a water safety course for school-aged children.

Greater Valley YMCA's Vanessa Rex sharing how our grant will be used.

The Center for Humanistic change is also working with kids to teach alcohol and drug safety.

Theresa Krohn of the Center for Humanistic Change

Northampton Community College is using our grant to assist students in purchasing textbooks.

NCC's Catherine DeHart sharing how our grant will be applied.

Thursday morning Jill Long was recognized by the Emmaus Rotary Club as part of their International Women's Day Celebration. Jill shared about her long history of volunteerism. The RAGAS Symposium on Sex, Drugs  and Trafficking was also held Thursday. It included some impactful presentations about this epidemic. It was wonderful to see so many Rotarians in attendance! Congratulations to Dee Dee Foran for bringing this event to the Valley.

Participants listening and watching an informative RAGAS program.

A very proud Dee Dee Foran and fellow Bethlehem Rotarians at the RAGAS event

Our food pantry event was rescheduled to Mar. 18. Consider coming out for an hour to help unpack the truck at New Bethany Ministries.
We have a fundraiser at Edge on Mar. 17 from 5-7 PM. Making a $20 donation to Bethlehem Rotary will get you appetizers and fellowship. Bring your friends!

Next Wednesday, President-elect Pete will be leading you. We'll have Rob Vaughn from WFMZ as well as new member initiations and our BAVTS students.

Yours in Rotary service,

President Thea Lind
