Suggest a Speaker
Monday, November 27, 2017

I hope you each enjoyed a wonderful thanksgiving with friends and family members.  As there was no meeting last week, this bulletin will be short.
  • Our speaker this Wednesday will be Rev. Fr. Tim Hasenecz, M. Div.  His topic is "Nobody Dies Alone."  This should be an interesting conversation.
Announcements:
  1. Bethlehem Rotary will be ringing the bell for the Salvation Army on December 2, 2017. There are still a few spots open. Please contact Ron Bauer if you would like to help.
  2. Our Annual Meeting is scheduled for December 13th, where we approve the election of club officers and board for the upcoming year. Everyone please attend to cast your vote.
  3. Should peace be left up to our politicians? Our RI President Ian Riseley thinks Rotary should lead the way. Our Zone 32, along with Zones 24, 25, and 26 has been selected by President Riseley to hold the first Presidential Peacebuilding Conference on February 10, 2018 in Vancouver, BC. If you would like more information, please contact me, or you can also go to https://portal.clubrunner.ca/50004/Stories/presidential-conference. There is also a link on the District Website.

Yours in Rotary service,

President Gerry Foran

Meet Rotary's Champions of Peace

November’s Rotary Day at the United Nations, in Geneva, Switzerland, will focus on one of Rotary’s top humanitarian priorities: peace and conflict resolution. Six honorees, including four Rotary members and two alumni of Rotary Peace Centers, will be recognized for their commitment to and work on behalf of peace projects in their communities. Their diversity reflects the varied ways that Rotary members address underlying causes of conflict.
